EU insolvency: costs and preparation

A realistic budget includes more than advisory fees. We consider procedural costs, living expenses and the practical effects of a possible move.

Separate the cost categories

The budget may include advice, legal representation, court and administrator costs, translations and obtaining documents. A genuine move adds housing, deposits, travel and potentially two-household expenses. Compare total costs over the relevant period.

What determines the work involved?

Creditor numbers, multiple countries, disputed claims, property and missing records can increase the work. Continuing income contributions differ from one-off costs. A meaningful calculation requires your facts; blanket prices do not reliably describe complex cases.

Questions to clarify in consultation

Clarify the scope, contracting parties, included services and possible additional charges. Ask about costs if the process stops or proves unsuitable. We first assess your situation so the next step and its financial implications are clear.
